Welcome

Hello all,
I'm new to this whole blogging thing- but am quite excited about what is in store. My intention with this blog is two-fold: (1) to reflect on my own personal Weight Watchers lifetime journey and (2) to offer additional support to the Weight Watchers members who attend the meetings that I lead. I enjoy writing (though I rarely have the opportunity to do so any longer) and I'm passionate about the work that I do both as a Weight Watchers leader and as a Weight Watchers member- what a fit!

I've been inspired by blogs that I've read- about cooking, fitness, family, hiking, gardening- even one about packing lunchboxes (!), and I recognize the potential power that blogging has to inspire, motivate, and educate on a variety of topics. I hope to do all of these things- and more- through this blog. Recently I saw that David Kirchhoff, the President of the Weight Watchers company, has a blog about his experiences on the program. I've only read the first few posts, but in it he discusses the challenges he faces with life on the road as a businessman, his family, and other "everyday" topics. I really enjoyed this glimpse into his world, and hope that you enjoy a glimpse into my world.

Before I sign-off from this initial post I want to mention one thing: I'm not going to be a blog-perfectionist, and I'm sticking to that! In short, although I do intend to post regularly and I hope to offer valuable and relevant information for members on this blog, this is indeed my personal forum. I will use my own life experiences to shape the direction of this blog. It won't be perfect- my life's not perfect (although I do have perfectionist tendencies...). I'll miss a day (or two, or three...) here and there- and that's a-okay!

Lastly, although this may go without being said, I'll reiterate what I said above about this being my blog. The information contained within, while intended to be a resource for Weight Watchers members, will be drawn from my personal experiences. I am a Weight Watchers member just as much as I am a Weight Watchers leader. Please know that what you read is my-Braelin's-perspective on a variety of matters.

~Braelin
